FROM COMMANDERY No. 2

Sir Knights,

Greetings:

I can't believe that this year is drawing to a close. It seems such a short time ago we were having the Installation to kick off the coming year. And now we are looking forward to and planning the Installation for 2024.

I want to take this time to thank all of you for supporting the Commandery this year. I know they say we are still recuperating from the shutdown.

With your support, we did accomplish a lot. After the Installation, we had the Easter Celebration in April, and that evening we headed for Auburn for the 3-Way Reception, where Sacramento York Rite had good representation.

May brought us Grand Sessions in Visalia and again Sacramento was well represented. Sir Knight Joseph Dongo was Installed as Grand Generalissimo, and Sir Knight Phil Hardiman was installed as Grand Secretary of the Grand Council.

In June we hosted the SSYR Knights Templar Festival where we welcomed and Knighted the new Knight Templars. And now we are planning our Christmas Celebration which is always a Joyous Occasion. If you haven't attended this before, please do, you will be impressed.

It has been an honor serving as the 2023 Commander and your help has made it an easy and pleasant experience. I know you will extend the same support to Sir Knight Andrew Grajeda next year.

When we all come together, we will make 2024 a better year yet.

FROM COUNCIL No. 1

Holiday Greetings,

Companions of Sacramento Council No. 1:

As the winter holiday season fast approaches Sacramento, I am reminded of old things coming to a close and new beginnings blooming.

The end of the year is upon us. As 2023 comes to a close, we will gather for a Special Assembly on Monday (12/04) at 06:00 PM.

I want to thank all of the Companions who have supported me and our Council at the beginning and throughout the year.

It has been my honor to serve as Illustrious Master for 2023 and I look forward to seeing all the members of Sacramento Council No. 1 this month.

In winter, as leaves fall from the tree and compost to the Earth, their beauty is not lost but reborn in the foliage of the spring.

Sincerely,

Jesse Solis-Jacques

Illustrious Master

FROM CHAPTER No. 3

Dear Companions,

As the year draws to a close, I am remembering all the great time spent with the Companions of Sacramento Chapter No. 3.

It has been my pleasure to preside over the Chapter and to see the Officer line work so well together. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to all Companions for the great fellowship.

In March we attended the area’s annual degree festivals, for which I sincerely appreciate Companion Pryor and a few PHPs representing the dais of Sacramento in my absence. Thank you all so much for your support.

The Fall Festival in Sutter Creek also welcomed a new member to our rolls. I am pleased to report that in total, we welcomed nine new members this year. A heartfelt welcome to all our new Companions for 2023.

Next year should start off very exciting, as our Chapter is gearing up to confer the Mark and Past Master Degrees. Developing the skills and ritual work for these degrees will really help us continue to grow together as a Chapter.

To the next Officer line of 2024, I would like to wish you all a rewarding and successful experience leading this fine group.

Best wishes for 2024!

Nicholas Johnston
